Our counsellors offer mandatory pre-treatment counselling, individual and couples counselling, therapeutic and emotional support, and grief and loss counselling.
They are also available whenever you feel you need additional support.
Our counsellors’ role in your fertility care
Our experienced fertility counsellors bring a wide range of skills and tools to support you throughout your journey, including:
- Providing emotional support – helping you process the stress, grief and uncertainty that can accompany fertility challenges
- Guiding decision-making – assisting individuals and couples in making informed choices about fertility treatments, donor conception, surrogacy and family-building options
- Supporting relationship dynamics – offering strategies to improve communication and connection for couples navigating fertility treatment
- Facilitating donor and surrogacy counselling – delivering mandatory counselling to ensure ethical, legal and emotional readiness when using donor eggs, sperm, embryos or surrogacy
- Managing treatment-related anxiety – teaching mindfulness, stress-reduction techniques and resilience strategies to help cope with emotional ups and downs
- Assisting with pregnancy loss and unsuccessful treatment – providing grief counselling and practical coping tools for managing miscarriage and disappointment during treatment cycles
- Preparing for future family conversations – helping individuals and couples explore evolving options, including changes to treatment plans or the use of donor conception and surrogacy.
Fertility counselling can be beneficial at any point in your journey – whether you’re starting treatment, making important decisions, or navigating the emotional impact of fertility treatment. Our goal is to ensure you feel supported, empowered and emotionally prepared for whatever comes next.
