Dr Alon Talmor: Fertility Specialist | Newlife IVF

Alon graduated in Medicine from the prestigious Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London and also completed a PhD in Genetic Engineering with a focus on fertility. He undertook specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in London and Cambridge. He then completed an extensive IVF clinical fellowship in the UK’s leading fertility centre, at Hammersmith Hospital. Alon was also the first British-trained doctor to complete the full UK subspecialty in Reproductive Medicine (RCOG) in Australia.

He currently holds a public consultant position at Monash Medical Centre and is an honorary’ Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine at Monash University. Alongside his clinical practice, Alon is passionate about research, education and training. He has published numerous scientific papers and book chapters, is a regular speaker at national and international conferences, and enjoys teaching and examining the next generation of doctors.

With expertise across all aspects of fertility care, Alon is highly experienced in managing complex fertility issues affecting both women and men, including recurrent miscarriage, male factor infertility and patients with a poor prognosis or previous unsuccessful treatment. He is often sought out by patients from across Australia and overseas for his expertise in challenging fertility cases.

Inspired to pursue fertility medicine after hearing pioneering IVF expert Professor Lord Robert Winston speak while still at school, Alon has dedicated his career to helping individuals and couples achieve their dream of parenthood. He believes the most important part of his role is ensuring every patient feels heard, supported and empowered with the knowledge to make informed decisions about their care. Drawn to Newlife IVF by its unwavering commitment to putting patients first, he is proud to be part of a team that shares his dedication to delivering the highest standards of personalised fertility care.

Outside of work, Alon enjoys cooking, having trained at a renowned culinary school in London, and is always keen to learn new skills. He also loves spending time outdoors with family and friends, and with Montgomery, his much-loved Labrador, whose enthusiastic welcome at the end of each day never fails to bring a smile.
