Dr Lauren Hicks

She holds a prestigious Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy & Surgery (AGES) fellowship and a Master’s degree in reproductive medicine. She holds public appointments with the advanced endosurgery units at both the Royal Women’s Hospital and the Mercy Hospital for Women, as well as spending some time working regionally in Albury/Wodonga.

Lauren was initially drawn to fertility when her patients were having difficulty falling pregnant due to endometriosis and fibroids, and wanted to continue to help them throughout their reproductive lives. She embodies a caring and empathetic manner when dealing with her patients, and sees challenges as opportunities.  She always strives for the best possible outcomes for her patients and loves the fact that every consultation and surgery is different.

Joining the team at Newlife was an easy decision,  as “Everyone genuinely likes and supports each other, and target excellence at every single step in the process.”

She’s also an accomplished sewer and her penchant for crafting custom-made theatre caps for her colleagues has not gone unnoticed. Hopefully the teams at both Newlife IVF and Epworth Eastern Ekera will have the pleasure of trying on some of Lauren’s stylish surgical hat designs.
